Dr. Rania Ayat Hawayek is an experienced Paediatrician who is originally from Lebanon, grew up in Dubai, and studied medicine in London, before returning to Dubai in 2009. She has a passion for treating the child as a whole, with wellness and disease prevention at the core of her practice. She believes that to maintain optimal health, one needs to address all the aspects of life: physical, mental and social, and focuses on educating and empowering parents and children to take ownership over their health and wellness.
Dr. Kathrin Christine Foehe is a Specialist Paediatrician who has been practicing in Dubai since 2008. She is originally from Germany and before moving to Dubai, lived in Argentina, Brazil and India. Dr. Kathrin has extensive experience in managing Paediatric cases from birth to adulthood. She has a particular interest in Asthma, Dermatology, Preventive medicine, Immunizations and Travel and Tropical Medicine. She performs the preventive examinations (Vorsorgeuntersuchungen U2-J2) according to the German and French standards.
Dr. Sapna Verma is a Consultant Paediatrician who graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School (UK) in 1994. She specializes in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and was Consultant in Paediatric Emergency at Birmingham Children’s Hospital (UK) prior to moving back to Dubai, where she grew up. She is passionate about medical education and strongly believes that parent information and empowerment is a fundamental requirement for the optimal management of the health of children, young people and their families.
Dr. Dina Helou is a Consultant Paediatrician who moved to Dubai in 2021, after running a very busy paediatric practice in Lebanon for several years. She completed her residency in Paediatrics at Hotel Dieu de France University Hospital in Lebanon in 2008, before achieving a Paediatrics fellowship at Saint Vincent de Paul Hospital, at Lille University (France). Dr Dina’s special area of expertise is Vaccinology, for which she is a regular guest/speaker at conferences and seminars. She has also had several television appearances providing information and educating parents on paediatric topics.
Dr. Shireen Marzouk is a Consultant Paediatrician and Allergist from Toronto, Canada, who is originally from Egypt. She qualified as a Paediatrician with a focus in Paediatric Allergy and practiced as a Consultant Paediatrician in Toronto, where she was an adjunct Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. Dr. Marzouk is an active clinical researcher in the field of Food Allergy and Oral Immunotherapy, and has unique expertise in the most evidence-based and up-to-date related treatment strategies.
Dr. Omaima Ataya Maaliki is a distinguished paediatrician who graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 2004, and went on to complete a rigorous paediatrics residency program at Tufts in Boston. Dr. Omaima dedicates part of her time to the team at Circle Care Clinic as well as serving as the Medical Director at the American School of Dubai. Prior to her current roles, she spent nearly a decade as the Head Paediatrician at a community-based practice in Dubai, focusing on the health and wellbeing of children.
Dr. Mireille El Bejjani is an American Board-certified Paediatric Endocrinologist, originally from Lebanon. She completed her residency in Paediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and her fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology at Emory University. In 2018, Dr. Mireille moved to the UAE, joining Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, where she helped establish the Paediatric Endocrinology fellowship program. Dr Mireille dedicates part of her time at Circle Care Clinic, looking after patients with Paediatric Endocrinology concerns such as Diabetes, Growth, Puberty, Thyroid and Adrenal disorders and others.
Dr. Ilaria Saredi is a Specialist in Family Medicine who strives to look after all areas of her patients’ health. She believes regular and appropriate checks to be essential to health and well-being. Originating from Italy, Dr. Ilaria obtained her primary medical degree in Italy at La Sapienza University of Rome. After relocating to France, she acquired post-graduate training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Diseases, and Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. Ramy Khalil is an American-trained and U.S. Board-certified Internal Medicine Consultant with over 10 years of experience in both outpatient and inpatient care settings. Dr. Ramy was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2017, and remains up-to-date in data-driven primary and preventive care strategies and guidelines. He treats a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in adults of all ages and is passionate about bringing high-quality, tech-enabled primary care to adults in the Dubai region.
Dr. Alexia Diaz Mathe is a General Practitioner with over 17 years of experience acquired in different parts of the world, including Argentina and the United States. She started her career in General Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later joined the German Hospital to train in Dermatology. Dr. Alexia is a member of the Argentine Society of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology. She has a wide range of experience across both fields of General Medicine and Dermatology, making her a favourite amongst patients of all ages.
Dr. Milos Pavlovic is an experienced Dermatologist, specialized in treating Adult and Paediatric Dermatology and Varicose Vein diseases. Professor Milos Pavlovic graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Belgrade. He completed Master’s and PhD studies in Immunology, followed by residencies in Paediatrics and Dermatology. His clinical experience and work in research, in the fields of Immunology and Dermatology, has resulted in over one hundred peer-reviewed papers published in top scientific journals.
Dr. Sasa Janjanin is an ENT Specialist with over 25 years of experience. He is double European Board-certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Sasa has trained extensively in complete surgical and medical treatment of paediatric and adult patients with ENT disorders and diseases of the head and neck. His major expertise lies in sinus and nasal breathing conditions, ear infections, allergies, aesthetic rhinoplasty and otoplasty, snoring and other sleep-related disorders, skin cancer surgery, neck and thyroid gland disorders and occupational-related ENT problems.
Dr. Michael Vohrer graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the University Homburg/Saar, Germany, followed by an extensive and rich professional and academic journey through various leading institutions, in the field of Paediatric Orthopaedics. In 2013, he moved to Dubai, and has established himself as a leader in the field of Paediatric Orthopaedics. Dr. Michael has excellent expertise in the diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment (both conservative and surgical) of all orthopaedic conditions in children.
Dr. Goran Bicanic is an Orthopaedic surgeon who trained in Croatia and has fellowships from Germany, Canada, and Austria. Dr Goran has over 16 years of experience and has been looking after patients in Dubai since 2016. He takes a holistic approach when dealing with and considers patients as partners. He has a particular interest in lower limb problems as well as shoulder concerns. Dr Goran especially promotes non-surgical treatments for knee and shoulder pain, with various injection techniques and prevention through check-ups, consultations and educating patients.
Dr. Christiana Savvidou is a highly experienced Orthopedic Hand Surgeon practicing in Dubai, after practicing for several years in the USA. Dr. Christiana is committed to excellence in helping others. She understands that both simple and complex hand and arm conditions can have a tremendous impact on a patient’s function and quality of life and strives to provide individualized care understanding the specific needs of each patient.
Sally Al Aawar is a licensed Dietician originally from Lebanon, born and raised in the U.A.E She graduated as a Dietician from The American University of Beirut in 2002, after which she completed her training at Saint George Hospital, Lebanon, before returning to Abu Dhabi in 2003. In the last 20 years she worked in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, advising patients on nutritional principles and diet modifications for both inpatients and outpatients.
Dr. Mohamed Helaly is a Specialist Radiologist with over 25 years of experience. He is a fellow of The Royal College of Radiologists in London and the Faculty of Radiology of The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. Dr. Helaly has a wide range of experience in the modalities of MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and X-ray imaging. With Circle care Clinic’s state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment, Dr Helaly adds an invaluable skillset, supervising all patient imaging at the clinic and conducting patient ultrasound scans.
Marie Juglaret is a highly experienced and passionate French paediatric nurse, specializing in neonatal and early childhood care. With over 16 years of expertise, her career began in France, and then London, where she served as a maternity nurse, providing dedicated care to newborns and their families. Marie is committed to empowering parents with confidence and providing the highest standard of care during the crucial early stages of their child’s life.
Bettina Schaefer – known as Tina to all her family, friends, colleagues and patients, is a Senior Radiographer with over 30 years’ experience in various fields of Radiography, ranging from standard X- ray imaging to CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy and specialising in Paediatric Radiography. Tina looks after both Paediatric and Adult patients with her deep-rooted passion and focus to achieve the best possible imaging with the least number of exposures and minimal hassle.
