About Dr. Sapna
Dr. Sapna Verma graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School (UK) in 1994 and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 1998. She undertook postgraduate training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in the UK, which included a one-year Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney (Australia).
She was appointed as a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Birmingham Children’s Hospital (UK) in 2003 and has therefore had extensive experience in managing severely ill and injured children as well as caring for those presenting with minor illness and injury.
Dr. Sapna is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (2005) and is a member of the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (APEM). After over 20 years in the UK, she returned to the UAE where she grew up and has been working in Dubai since 2013. She is passionate about medical education and strongly believes that parent information and empowerment is a fundamental requirement for the optimal management of the health of children, young people and their families.
